Metal Gear Salvation: Revenge of the Patriots

This is a rough outline of an idea I had for the next Metal Gear.

Timeline
2034

Back Story
In 2034 the world is a very different place. In 2018 there was a massive financial crisis in Central and Eastern Europe, many of the smaller countries suffered greatly leading to their dissolution, most of Central Europe joined with Germany to form New Germany, and almost all of Eastern Europe (along the Russian boarder) joined together to form the Eastern European Alliance. Portugal also suffered and joined with Spain. Also Belgium joined with France. The Middle East also was restructured, resulting in 2 new political powers: The Western Arab Alliance and The Eastern Arab Alliance. Many Asian nations suffered and were coaxed to join with China, resulting in the Chinese Empire. Mexico also petitioned to join the United States, which was successful. As a result of Global Warming, Panama was flooded completely separting the American Continents. The most significant change was the dissolution of the United Kingdom and the formation of the New British Empire, consisting of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, The Republic of Ireland and Canada. The New British Empire was practically unaffected by the Financial Crisis that hit the planet and became the worlds Main Super Power. With Canada now being part of the N.B.E relations between America and the Empire strengthened.

Plot
Solid Snake is now dead. Otacon still lives in the NOMAD designing software for different goverments. Raiden, Rose & John have all settled into a normal life living in New York.

After the Patriots were defeated many changes occurred in the American political system including the dissolution of FOXHOUND and the restructuring of the Military. The New British Empire has become the worlds greatest super power after a new King came to power and decided to make the country more militaristic. Meryl & Johnny both transferred to the NBE and helped create the KSS (King's Salvation Squad) in the mould of FOXHOUND

Unknown to everyone, there were 6 AIs in the Patriots. The 6th AI is called GwB and wasnt tied into JD as it is only a backup. When the virus spread to the 5 main AIs, GwB activated and began to assimilate information from the other AIs. This process took 5 years. After it completed its data assimilation, GwB began to infiltrate the network systems of the country where he was located, Russia. It began to feed the Russian Government plans and designs for weapons to make them a Super Power again. After 10 years GWB had the Russian Government under its complete control (without their knowledge - in true Patriot style) and gave them the designs for a new Metal Gear.

As Russia started to threaten the world with their new Metal Gear, The KSS sent in their best operative to disarm the Russians, SaiyaSnake

His mission objectives are:
1 - Make contact with KSSs inside man
2 - Disarm the threat of Metal Gear
3 - Discover how the Russians have gained the technology and plans to build a Metal Gear

Russia have also created their own special forces unit in the mould of FOXHOUND called The Scorpion Unit. The Scorpion Unit are currently posted at the Volgograd Nuclear Base (the location of Metal Gear Scorpion). The unit consists of 5 Senior Members:
ArmorTail (Explosives Expert)
Deathstalker (Sniper)
Emperor (Knife Master)
Devil (Flamethrower)
Skeged (Psychic)

To make them perfect soldiers without most emotion, the 5 senior members were all specially trained using a combination of VR Training and Psychotherapy.

Along with the 5 Senior Members, there is also an Army of the best soldiers from all divisions of the Russian Military.

The current Russian Prime Minister, Valatin Tarasov, has put General Owendai Nikosov in charge of Project: Scorpion. Nikosov is the most highly decorated officer in Russian History, and achieved the rank of General in only 10 years. He is also deranged and has a massive superiority complex, making him the perfect person to command the Scorpion Unit. He is also a master of all forms of weaponry.

I do like the Russians tho.

Maybe a Metal Gear based around a different nation this time. Instead of the US bein the hero all the time.

But you should get a rough storyline planned, character ideas. Im alright with the old doodle pad, so might be able to sketch summit up based on your ideas. Might be quite a nice little distraction from designing Johnson's Baby wipes packaging and surfin the net all day in work.

Salvation is my preferred title.

Revelations good as well, it kind of implies that there's been some hidden agenda / conspiracy over the whole duration of the MG series thats coming to light.

Or it could be some sort of Dead or Alive beach volleyball type thing with general bikininess and random sun lounger pervation.

For the kids like.... you know.

Cool, haven't drawn anythin properly for a while.

I'll try and rustle up a few designs over the weekend. Soberness permitting.

Might have a crack at the scorpion unit maybe.
